CSIR-CCMB NGS Portal

CSIR-CCMB
WELCOME: Guest HELP LOGIN

Registration

  1. Users should get their names registered for using online portal
  2. Details of service required along with the nature and number of samples have to be entered by the user in the online sample registration form through their account.
  3. An email with these details will be sent automatically to the PI for information.
  4. Users may note that RNA sequencing would majorly be performed using MGI sequencer and DNA sequencing on NovaSeq platform. Users are requested to discuss with the facility for any specific requests for platform preference.

Sample collection and processing

  1. Samples can then be submitted to the concerned personnel at the facility.
  2. Quality check of the samples would be performed within 48-72 hrs after sample submission and data would be available for the users in online portal. If any of the samples do not pass QC, users could then take a call to resubmit those samples or request the facility to proceed with the samples that have passed QC.
  3. Users are requested to submit samples with high quality to avoid delays in sample processing. In this regard users could discuss with facility staff for guidance.
  4. A batch of samples submitted on a particular date after passing QC will join the queue to the existing line of samples to be processed.
  5. Samples submitted to the facility at a later date will be assigned a separate registration number and requests for them to be pooled with the earlier ones will not be feasible.Sample Turn Around Time (TAT)* is approx. 3 to 4 weeks.
  6. *TAT given is tentative and may change according to the already submitted sample numbers. TAT will be calculated only after samples are submitted and have passed the Quality Check (QC). Since the charges for sequencing are calculated based on the full capacity of flow cells, TAT will also depend on the number of samples available to be run at that time.

Availability of sequencing data

  1. Sample and Library QC results, and sequencing data would be updated in online portal as and when it is available.
  2. Users will be informed once the sequencing is done and raw data is available with our Bioinformatics team which users can then collect.
  3. For any specific technical clarifications and/or concerns - please discuss with the facility.
  4. Raw data would be available for one month with the Bioinformatics team after sequencing.

Note:Regular training sessions for sample processing and library preparation would be organized on regular basis and of which users will be informed in advance.
